Art Camp for Young People
JULY 8-12, 2019 in Doniphan, Missouri

Ages 7-11 will explore the art of different cultures, create mandalas and do yarn paintings in addition to other fun and exciting projects. Ages 12 & up will paint with style & emotion, varying techniques and subjects. They will also create amazing art out of unwanted items.

Civil War Tourism Map

Anyone interested in Missouri Civil War history or planning a trip to southeast Missouri to explore the U.S. Grant Trail should check out the sites just west of Missouri's boot heel, in the Ozark foothills. With the support of Missouri Humanities Council and the knowledge of local historians and heritage enthusiasts, nonprofit Doniphan Neighborhood Assistance Program (DNAP) has created a downloadable, printable map documenting the first leg of Price’s Expedition of 1864, the confederate raid led by Major General Sterling Price. This section of the last major Confederate campaign in a northern territory led from Pocahontas, Arkansas to Ironton, Missouri, passing through Doniphan, Missouri along the way.
